So even though we're not getting a house, I'm trying not to be too sad about it. We did look at some pretty nice apartments and even another duplex that's much nicer than ours. We put in an application for that one and should hear something soon. And if it's not that, then it'll be these nice apartments in Grafton where the management is super nice and they're taken care of really well and there's a pool and a play set for kids and it's in a nice, quiet area. It's not scummy people living at these apartments, either. The person who referred me to them is the girl who cuts my hair who didn't have a bad thing to say about them and she says it's mostly professional people living there, not dirtbags. They take care of things in a timely manner and there's not a bunch of noise and stuff or teenagers running around which is good. And we'll only be there for a year or two while we save up money for our dream house, which hopefully we'll find when we're ready. I'm sad this house won't be the one, but hopefully it'll be a better house when the time comes.

I'm also looking into beauty school BIG TIME right now and trying to find a way to make it happen for real now. I've wanted to do it for a long time but I wasn't sure it was the right thing for me until it was too late and I found out I was pregnant. Since then, I've wanted to get into it, but couldn't because of the pregnancy and then Carter. But now that he's getting a little bit older, I want to try to do it. I think in the fall, I'm going to try to start classes. There's a part-time accelerated program where classes meet Monday through Wednesday from 10am - 9pm (yeah, I know it's a long day but it'll be worth it in the end) and it only takes just over a year versus the regular part-time program that takes almost two years. This way, I could still watch the girls in the morning and Erik could take them the afternoons I can't. But on Thursday afternoons, I still could. And it would only be for a year and when I got done with school, I'd still be happy to watch them for the extra money and try to work my schedule around them. Maybe get into a salon part-time at first. It's what I really want to do with my life though and I think I'd be really good at it. And we have people who would be more than willing to watch Carter on my days in school and I'd feel more comfortable with it now that he's not an infant anymore and he's getting a little bit bigger and more independent. And it's all tenants of Erik's so he could just knock a few bucks off their rent to pay them and we wouldn't lose out a lot. It works out for everyone. So I'm doing a tour of the school on Thursday and if all goes well, I'm going to proceed with it and look into applying and starting school this fall. Possibly even summer if I think it's necessary but I think waiting until fall would be better just because by then, Carter will be a year old and I'll feel more comfortable with it because I wanted to be home for the first year. Plus, the girls will need me a lot this summer being off school and stuff so I'll have to watch them a lot. I'll worry about next summer when it comes but I'm thinking maybe my sister could watch them on the days I can't and we could split the money. I think it'll work out. I'm optimistic about it. I've never felt like "this is the thing for me" about anything but this so I know that this is what I want to do. I mean, hello, I'm so fascinated with beauty and everything related to it so it's always made sense that this would be what I'd go into. Even Erik said that. So I have to do this. It's going to make me happier and I'll be able to provide more for my family as well. Possibly even contribute to the house buying in the future. We'll see. But I'm very excited about it and can't wait to get moving on it!!

Oh, but the bad news.. I lost my camera again. And this time I'm pretty sure it's for good. So I have to buy a new one. If anyone has one they wanna sell for cheap, let me know. :\

Let me know if there's any interest in this and if I should even bother. I know I said I'd do it forever ago but I just haven't had time. Hopefully I will today but I have to wait until Erik wakes up so who knows, lol!
